Rockport Police/Fire: Woman arrested on drug warrant

Rockport Police/Fire:

ROCKPORT — Police said a Great Hill Lane woman was arrested Friday at 7:18 a.m. on outstanding warrants stemming from a charge of possession of a Class A substance.

Lorna Salazar, 50, was arrested at her home on warrants issued out of Gloucester District Court, police said.

Thursday police tracked down an alleged erratic operator at 3:40 p.m. on South Street after receiving a call to the station. Officers spoke to the motorist, but found no issues, according to the report.

Police found a man sleeping in his car on Main Street at 1:30 a.m. Officers simply asked him to move along.

Police responded to a burglar alarm that sounded on Halibut Point Thursday at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, but officers found the area to be secure.
