Psychic weekend ahead for Hammond Castle

Would you like a psychic reading with “Jenna the Witch?”

A workshop on the “vibrational healing of plants,” with Ramani Rangan?

Visitors to Gloucester’s Hammond Castle this weekend will get an added attraction with the fifth Psychic Faire, which features free metaphysical classes and workshops.

Terry Milton, one of the organizers, said that the visitors pay the usual admission and the psychic faire element is included in that.

“It seems that the classes are becoming more popular,” she said. “It’s a fun event, and it has grown over the years. I’m told that people now call and ask when it is going to be there.”

The organizers hope that the faire will bring in visitors who may not have thought to visit the castle.

In addition to the free classes and workshops, there will be a group of readers — many of them local — who will perform readings for a fee, with a portion of the readings going to the castle foundation.

The faire runs Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 and Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the castle, where it is held in the Great Hall.

The Psychic Faire readers include:

“Jenna the Witch,” who holds a bachelor’s degree in music from SUNY Fredonia and a masters in Transpersonal Studies from the Sophia Institute;

Susi Marrotte, who is an intuitive artist who paints and channels “Soul Aura” portraits;

Terry Milton who uses “stone readings;”

Louisa Poole, who draws on her knowledge of palmistry, tarot and numerology;

Ramani Rangan, who is of Indian parentage and has done readings around the country and Europe.

The classes and workshops on Saturday include:

11:30 a.m. — “Our Journey in the Spirit” with Ramani Rangan;

1 p.m. — “Mystery and the 3 Worlds” with “Jenna the Witch”;

2:30 p.m. — “Energy 101” with Lucy Diamond.
