23 Italian students visit Cape Ann

They arrived in style, 23 students from Italy, who will be spending the next week in Gloucester.

The students, who were dropped at the door of Gloucester High School by an airport limousine bus from Logan Airport, are participants in an exchange program at the high school.

The Italian exchange students are staying with Gloucester families during their week on Cape Ann.

They will attend classes at Gloucester High today. On Monday, they will take the train to Salem or Rockport to see the sights. Next week, the students will visit Harvard University, Beacon Hill, Newbury Street and shops at the Prudential Center in Boston, go on a whale watch and attend a potluck dinner at the Heron Way Marina and Club off Crafts Road.

Gloucester High Italian teacher Celestino Basile helped organize the trip.
