Gloucester Police/Fire: State, city police probe weekend crashes

A car crash at Blackburn Circle saw one woman airlifted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a man rushed to Beverly Hospital Friday at 4:42 p.m.

According to police, their car had struck a guard rail in the rotary and police and paramedics had to extract them from the vehicle. Neither the man nor women were not fully responsive on scene.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash; no further information was available Monday regarding the couple’s condition.

Police also responded to a single-car rollover on Barn Lane, Monday at 2:41 a.m.

Officers found a truck turned on its side on the street, but could not locate the driver. The truck was registered to a Rockport resident, and Rockport police could no locate him either. The truck was towed by Tally’s, and police are continuing to investigate.

Officials with Architectural Casework and Millwork on Kettle Cove Lane called police at 11:42 a.m. to report that security cameras showed two people breaking into their shop Friday night.

Police are investigating. No further information regarding the alleged break was available.
