Rockport Police/Fire: School alarm triggered by staff

Rockport Police/Fire:

ROCKPORT — Police responded to a burglar alarm that sounded Friday at 2:05 a.m. at the Rockport Middle High School.

But officers found the alarm was apparently set off by staff members preparing for a field trip.

Police said that officers spoke to a Pigeon Hill Court resident who was reportedly using power tools too loudly at 7:30 p.m.

A woman was transported from Jerdens Lane to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester Friday at 8:12 a.m.

Police performed a well-being check on a Bradley Wharf resident Friday shortly after 10 a.m., and found the person safe and sound.
