ESSEX -- The town's Bicentennial Committee planned activities for each month of 2019 for Essex's Bicentennial. August saw two: food trucks and fireworks on Friday, Aug. 9; and a parade of floats and bands on Saturday. Aug. 10. police estimated between 3,000 and 4,000 people attended each of the weekend's event.
