Arrests

Michael F. Herbert, 52, of 20 Fernwood Lake Avenue, Gloucester, was arrested on Saturday night on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

Herbert was arrested at his home without incident at 9:35 p.m. Saturday.

Eric C. Eaton, 18, of 10R Knowlton Square, Gloucester, was arrested Saturday night on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Police were called to Proctor Street at 11:20 p.m. Saturday on reports that a man was looking through cars. Police found Eaton in the area with alcohol in his possession.

Incidents

There were no reported injuries in a two motor vehicle accident on Bass Avenue at 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Police were called to the Bond Street and Western Avenue area at 9:20 p.m. Friday on reports of a man attempting to break into cars. Police searched the area and did not find the perpetrator.

A Methuen woman who was reportedly "unconscious and not breathing" was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Cruiseport at 12:05 a.m. Saturday. The woman was given oxygen at the scene according to police reports and was breathing when she left in the ambulance.

Police are investigating reports that a homeless Beverly man broke into a room at the Captain's Lodge on Eastern Avenue by breaking a window. A witness told police she heard glass breaking and saw the man climbing through a broken window. The suspect, who was a guest in another room at the hotel, checked out and left the scene before police arrived.

Police were called to the Coast Guard Station at 2:00 p.m. Saturday on reports of an assault on a Yankee Fleet boat 18 miles out to sea. The victim, a Haverhill man, told police he was punched by two guys after a misunderstanding over money from a biggest fish contest. According to police reports the victim, who had bruises on his face, wanted to press charges but couldn't identify the suspects.

The victim told police he was confronted for taking the winnings for the biggest fish contest which he thought he won, after he returned the money he was assaulted according to police reports.

Police were called to a Blyman Avenue home at 5:45 p.m. Saturday on reports of a missing 2-year-old. Police searched the home and found the boy sleeping and unharmed underneath a kitchen table.

A Mason Street woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. According to police reports the woman drank several bottles of prescription medication and drank several beers.

A Cross Street man reported to police at 1:45 p.m. Sunday that a gold mountain bike was stolen from his front yard. The man told police he saw a gold SUV that looked suspicious in the area before the bike was stolen.
