Manchester Summerstage will perform "Meredith Willson's The Music Man" for its 2019 season. 

The musical follows Harold Hill, a conman who poses as a band leader to scam people into purchasing instruments and uniforms. His scheme starts to unravel once Hill starts bonding with the townsfolk he's scamming and falls for Marian Paroo, the local librarian who's suspicious of Hill. 

Performances will be held in the auditorium at Manchester Essex Regional High School, 36 Lincoln St. in Manchester. Showtimes are Thursday, July 25, at 6 p.m.; Friday, July 26, at 6 p.m.; Saturday, July 27, at 6 p.m.; and Sunday, July 28, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children younger 12 and seniors. They will be available at the door beginning one hour before performances. Tickets are also being sold at the high dchool from July 15 through 18, 22 and 23, from 4 to 6 p.m.
