Two Cape Ann teams were looking to build some late season moment on Thursday as Gloucester and Rockport met at Gloucester High School.

In the end, Rockport was able to win four matches in straight sets for a 4-1 win. The Vikings improve to 5-7 on the year and finish up the regular season on Friday at Manchester Essex (3:30 p.m.). Gloucester (2-13) finishes up the regular season on Friday at Peabody (4 p.m.).

The Vikings swept the three singles matches to clinch the victory. Jaden Kamm was victorious at the No. 1 spot (6-2, 6-1), Hayden Beaton picked up the victory at the No. 2 spot (6-2, 6-1) and Jake Allen won at the No. 3 slot (6-2, 6-3).

Rockport also picked up a win at No. 2 singles from Griffin Beaton and Colby Kelley (6-1, 6-4).

Gloucester’s win came at No. 1 doubles from Jack Delaney and Phil Jones (6-2, 6-3).
