The Manchester Essex boys and girls lacrosse teams were well represented on the Cape Ann League All-Star teams with senior goalie Bella Pomeroy being named the Baker Division's Player of the Year, three players earning first team All-Star status and five more earning second team All-Star status.
The Lady Hornets were also honored with the league's Sportsmanship Award.
Pomeroy, a senior captain and goalie, is a dominant force allowing a league low 7.1 goals per game in the regular season. Her aggressive style and athleticism help her make stops in the ebb of flow in the action and on penalty restarts, which are high percentage plays for the shooter but Pomeroy stops them with regularity.
Manchester Essex also saw senior midfielder Drew Charlton and senior defender Christina Calandra named first team All Cape Ann League. Both are four year starters. Senior midfielder Abby Lantz and sophomore attack Lily Athanas were named second team All-Stars, both are among the Hornet's leaders in scoring.
On the boys side, senior captain and midfielder Jake Athanas, senior defender Bobby Beardsley and freshman attack Ryan Clark were named second team All-Stars.
